Chris Dennison (B.COM.AG), Independent Chair

Chris has extensive experience as a Director, including a current Board position on the Farmlands Co-Op, and also as former Deputy Chairman of Ravensdown Fertiliser and former Chairman of the Lower Waitaki Irrigation Company.

He and his wife Kay run a 400 hectare arable farm, with an adjacent dairy farm milking 800 cows and producing 360,000kg of milksolids. Mr Dennison has a Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture) from Lincoln University and is a graduate of the Rabobank Executive Development Programme.

The company founder, Colin has a deep understanding of NZ farming systems, and extensive networks in the agricultural community.

The ex managing director of construction firm Naylor Love, Ian has a number of business interests, and has considerable expertise in financial and corporate governance.

John Rolleston

John Rolleston (LLB), Director

John co-founded and manages South Pacific Sera Limited which is a successful manufacturer and exporter of animal blood products to global pharmaceutical companies.

He has extensive governance experience, having been the Deputy Chairman of PrimePort Timaru Limited. He is currently the Chair of Waihi School. A qualified lawyer, John’s business, professional and personal contacts are numerous and he is highly regarded across the Canterbury business community and beyond.

Kieran O'Hagan

Kieran O'Hagan (Dip BS (PFP) CSAP MInstD), Director

Kieran has over 25 years’ commercial experience in financial services including investment banking, share broking, banking, portfolio management, investment and corporate advisory. He has over 15 years governance experience in both the ‘for profit’ and ‘not for profit’ sectors of the community.

He is a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand Incorporated. He is a Professional Director and a Trustee of several Charitable Trusts. Immediately prior to co-founding Genesis Private Equity Limited, Kieran was responsible for the BNZ Private Bank advisory and banking services throughout Mid and South Canterbury to high net worth individuals, families, partnerships, charities and companies.

Nathan Mills (BBC), Director

Nathan has over 20 years’ banking experience in relationship management roles, specialising in lending to medium sized businesses.

Prior to co-founding Genesis Private Equity Limited, Nathan was BNZ’s Commercial Partner, Mid-South Canterbury for 9 years managing a portfolio of lending peaking at over $190 million, involved in industries including bio-technology, importers/exporters, manufacturing, transport, vertically integrated food manufacturing and service businesses. Previously Nathan was an award winning Journalist working for RNZ National.
