TracMap announced the winner of the Grape Growing category in the Australian Wine Industry Impact Awards.
The award recognises our collaborative approach to providing game-changing GPS guidance and job management solutions to their customers within the viticulture industry. The annual awards ceremony was held on the evening of Thursday 18th of October, at the Adelaide Town Hall amongst key industry leaders.
Organised by WISA – Wine Industry Suppliers Association, the event is a celebration of the impact that value chain partnerships have on the capability and competitiveness of Australian Wine Producers. The awards recognise proven contribution to the industry across eight categories, with the winners having to demonstrate the highest level of impact to their customers.
TracMap’s Australian Sales Managers, Don Thorp and Michael De Palma received the award on the company’s behalf and were thrilled with the outcome considering the extremely high level of finalists vying for each category.
“We’re absolutely honoured to receive this award and would like to say a huge thank you to our customers, whose collaboration has been instrumental to our success. By taking the time to provide input about their day-to-day operations, directly to our development team, we’re able to deliver smarter, safer and more sustainable vineyard management solutions,” says Don Thorp.
The judging panel, comprised of Tim Siebert (Bentleys SA), Matthew Pooley (Pooley Wines) and Anna Baum (Wine Grape Council of SA) were impressed with TracMap’s system stating that, “the solution dramatically increased grower capability and knowledge including ‘easy data capture’, live job sharing and feedback/reporting from accurate variable spraying with linear rate capability.
“It demonstrated the ability for growers to adopt and apply the easy and accurate technology to eliminate errors, improving efficiencies, sustainability, accountability, quality and profitability in a way not previously possible.”
“There was significant impact demonstrated through the rapid growth and uptake of the TracMap product throughout the Australian wine industry; with over 100 systems operating in vineyards and orchards across Australia. This was backed up as a ‘game changer’ with a number of highly valuable testimonials presented.”
TracMap’s award-winning hardware and software solution is now an integral part of operations spanning the agriculture, horticulture, viticulture and aviation industries in New Zealand, Australia and USA. The key to this growth has been collaboration, a philosophy which has led to major developments for the TracMap this year, having released significant product updates and the launch of their revolutionary new hardware platform, TML.
